First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. I hope your festive break has been full with great cheer.
Over this season, I’ve been really busy seeing family, and working really hard to earn the money to save for a rainy day.
Not forgetting a few breaks here and there to relax.

Here is a little something I quickly worked on for a Envy as a quick Christmas treat.

Hey People,
Just giving you a quick update on what’s been happening.
I’m currently taking a quick break form working on a project called Nu:clear, You’ll be able to find info and updates on the project page.
Also last week was full on, included a complete reshoot 24 hours before deadline which somehow felt great. A video will be available really soon on here.

Also great news, got a new job, randomly a Cab driver! It’s not too bad, mostly enjoyable when its busy. but only taken me a month to get my licence! :S

For the last few weeks I have been experimenting with Adobe After Effects as part of a University module. Adobe After Effects is the main reason why I came to university. I first started using After Effects while in College in 2007, I was just messing about with the plugin Trapcode Particular to try recreate the Apple Nano Advert when they introduced colours. I had fun using it, except a 30 second animation took hours to render.
Now with a faster computer and the latest version of After Effects, and better knowledge of compression, I can now concentrate on learning the application and being creative with it.
Digressed a little there, but anyways, the main reason for this post is to show some of my examples of video work I have been working on over the last few weeks, additional I have been trying to prepare a quick show reel for a when ENVY come to our university and do a presentation, I’m hoping to hand them a show reel of my work and maybe, just maybe get recognised.

Hello guys and girls, seems like a little bit of time since I last posted a blog. Sorry to keep you all the in the dark. So what better time to post a new entry…

Got loads of new things in my life, first of all I’ve recently just started a relationship with a fantastic girl I met though my mate Jez’s girlfriend Hannah at a party last week. Caroline Edwards (aka Caz) and I where texting throughout the week and decided to go on a date on a double date with Jez and Hannah on Thursday (31/07/2008), we had a meal at Essence of the Orient in Stafford and later watched Wall-E. When we left we avoided running into one of Caz stalkers for some unknown reason why he was there, while we where hiding ideas to make the relationship official sprung up.

I’ve now had an Apple iPhone 3G for 2 weeks tomorrow and find this device a fantastic asset to life. As I’m already an Apple Mac user with the MacBook Black since January 2007. I now use iCal, Address Book and Mail on a regular basis to keep up-to-date and in-touch with everything. Finally phone that perfectly syncs with my computer… perfect.

I’ve applied to work at V-Festival Staffordshire 2008 with Flair Events event bars. I undergone a interview held at Wolverhampton College on Thursday 31st July and have been accepted to work the weekend 16th-17th August at Western Park, Staffordshire.

Now for some bad stuff

My hours at Love2Love are really low, as there trying to save money here and there, Which in turn results in me having little money myself. Living was already difficult with the current hours, but now I’m unable to maintain rent payments for my accommodation. Also at work, Stock and Cash taking are still not perfect so management are almost at the point of Barring all staff and taking away any benefits such as tips, staff drinks and privileges. If they did this then more then likely a lot of our staff will likely leave Love2Love this may include myself as work is currently tuff now.

Matt Jones is still withholding any payment to fix my car windscreen which he broken about 2 months ago now. The screen is really deteriorating.

My Friend Adam RayRay has decided to finally claim against me for his damages to his car which has resulted in me loosing two years no-claims and him loosing his current no-claims. I personally feel the loss of the no-claims doesn’t equal the amount of damage. I guess patience is not a virtue in this situation.

My MacBook seems to always be hot. I doubt it’s the weather, but the System fan is always running, day and night. Even if the computer is idol the computer is making noise, I’ve called support about issues with performance and heat and its now at a point where i have to take the computer into an Apple Store to be taken away for diagnostics. The only problem with this is that my closest support center is over 40 miles either direction. And that i’ll be without a computer for a week or two.

My account balance is no better then two months ago, as my closest friends would know it was not good then, its still not now. Looking for more work and available money options is currently being undertaken. Hopefully i’ll be fine for a month and My student loan in September will resolve current issues and make things much smoother.

Hey yo’ just a quick update, nothing much to really update here. haha Car is still broken(ish) and I’m broke like an old farm gate! :@ oh well. I’ve been working like someones bitch for the last few weeks to sort all my problems out. which slowly they are!.

Saturday – Crack Windshield
One morning after work I’m driving with my mates in the car, following another mate of mine. My mate decides it would be a great idea to moon with his ass to the car in-front. But my windshield couldn’t take the godly sight of his ass resulting in a unfixable crack. My mate said he will pay for the damages. I got a quote from AutoGlass starting from some figure around £700 down to £360, this still is expensive.

Monday – Crash into my mates car
Last minuet plan to go into Hanley to Club it up with a few of my friends from work seems like a great idea. I called another oen of my friends who lives in Stoke-On-Trent which is near the city centre Hanley.
We both took our cars into the centre, as I was following him someone infront of him slammed there breaks on to turn right into a petrol station resulting in my mate slamming his breaks on to avoid hitting him, I was forced to slam on my breaks also which locked up my wheels skidding me 5-8 meters from about 30mph. Unfortunately my mates car was a little less then stopping distance. Resulting in me hitting into the rear passenger side end of his car. His car suffers a 3 inch long gash on the bumper with a few pain scratches. I lose an entire headlamp casing and bend my framework and bumper. I tried my best to avoid by attempting to turn into the pavement side obviously with failed results.
I offered my friend a repair to his bumper, but he refused and wants to claim on my insurance for a new bumper for his BMW Mk3, the repair cost would have been less then £100 as my dad is in the bodyshop repair industry.
My car on the other hand, I haven’t even got a quote for yet as I’ve been trying my best to find a quote for my friends car.

Thursday – Non-Attendance Fine
I’m reminded I have to pay an £80 fine for not attending a meeting to get diagnosed if im dyslexic or not. I failed to attend due to incorrect time orginsed for me.

Friday – No sleep due to allergy
After working a profitable night at Love2Love I go home to try and get some sleep but failed to sleep due to an allergic reaction to something.

Saturday – Parking Fine
For the last few weeks I’ve been working at a brand new Nightclub that only opened this month. I’ve mostly had no problem in parking right outside of the venue.
With commitments to work I offered to help clean some back of house rooms at the venue on this saturday. After working a busy friday night finishing somewhere in the small hours of the morning I left for home to try and get some sleep which unfortunately I couldn’t. Without sleeping, I had to be back at the venue for 12noon to help this cleaning job I offered to do.
When I came to the parking lot there where no spaces available. not even ones which where legal without markings. So knowing that the closest parking lot charges up-to £20 for the whole day and closes at a designing time and that i’ll be at this venue until the next day. I needed a parking space. A quick reverse back up the road and found a huge part of land with three cars on it, and a nice little Indian curry house looking onto it which was closed at the time.
I parked on this land closest to the venue without obstructing any other access to this area and went off to work.
I was asked to leave and go for a shower and get ready for the night shift at 5pm so taking this opportunity, I did. But coming back to my car I found a Yellow Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) on my windshield. Obviously that first word that comes into your mind when you get a PCN! 5|-|!T. Opening it up stating “EXTRA SECURITY PARKING OFFENCE PENALTY NOTICE £90″ £90!!! thats three times more then what I earned in the time of me being there.
I obviously was angered from this especially knowing that I currently can not pay £90.
I came home and quickly googled for some details about this company only finding a telephone number, which I noted on the ticket for me to call first thing Monday before going to work again.
Hopefully Monday I will not see the new Hell colour Yellow on my windshield again.

Ok, its almost time to pop the cork for the celebration of my 21st year of life. I’m expecting a fantastic party tomorrow.

Other news, Love 2 Love opening weekend was great, feeling the rapth from the intense grand opening but its well worth every moment.

Finaly get a rest from the hectic week i’ve just had, all the training and effort paid off making the opening weekend of Love2Love Stafford a great success. This venue is Super Sexy and deserves much credit.

Now its time to relax and chill because I’m completely knackered most parts of me are hurting form the vigorous work.

Next big thing is now my birthday only a few days away now. Bring it on!

Last night was officially my last night working at de.bees Music Bar in Winsford. I may return to de.bees for the occasional drink of DJ set in the future.

As for new work, I’ll be working at a brand new club from the 3D Entertainment Group called Love 2 Love. Its the same company which brings you Chicago Rock Cafe and Jumping Jacks.

Also I have another Job at Pizza Express in Stafford I have never done full Waiter and wine service so this should be really interesting.
